In NC blue spotted sunfish are considered game fish because they are sunfish.
Redfin grass pickerel which seldom grow more than 11" and live in creeks less
that 4' wide are game fish because they are related to chain pickerel. There
are other examples, I think it is a problem that needs to be addressed.
