Kmart sells these shoplights for under $10. They seem to handle 4ft 40Watt
GE Chroma 50s well, are 80% lighter (mass) than other shoplights and are
attractive enough even w/o a wooden hood. But, they have no ballast.
Something tells me this is a significant loss that might affect bulb
lifespan or light intensity. Would any electricians / e-engineers or
experts please clear this up suspicion.
