Re: filtration and planted tanks
I recall that the subject of filtration and planted tanks had come up about
2 weeks ago. According to some of the postings from the pros, a heavily
planted lightly stocked tank does not even require filtration just water
movement with a powerhead.
Given Edison's fish load and the opinions posted, it would appear that he
can easily manage with what he's got provided that he puts a powerhead on
the opposite side of the tank to ensure circulation.
I assume that the need for filtration that would circulate 500 gph in a 100
gallon tank is appropriate for a fish only tank and the fish would be
Oscars.
