Re: Lowry Zoo Aquarium




	No one seems to have responded publicly on this project. To add my
2 cents, I would say some frogs, salamanders or water snakes would help
round off the suggested complement. Of course, no any amphibians with a
voracious appetite. I would also suggest lowering the water level, placing
some containers of potting soil over the edge of the tank with plants that
live on river edges (ferns?). These plants can droop into the water,
perhaps have some roots that absorb nutrients from the water. For the
background, I would suggest silicone'ing flat pieces of shale to the part
of the tank that shows above the rocks/wood forming the "bank". I got this
idea from some web site that shows building a paludarium.
