I have a number of people help me with lighting and CO2 questions. Now I
was wondering about the necessity of special substrate. I have never used
anything but regular gravel. Can something such as flourite be vacuumed or
will it just be sucked up? Is vacuuming necessary with the substrate and a
planted tank? I ask because I have fish that create a fair amount of waste
and vacuuming is necessary.
