Shoe Lace Sag? Link to pictures

Any ideas on this?  It doesn't seem like sag or val.  If I am correct, my
sag subulata does not have the large root crown that this has.  (See
pictures to know what I'm talking about).  The current leaf color is not as
dark a green as the subulata.  It is more of a light green.
