And zeolite was the recommendation by the filter manufacturer.

Do you have anything discussing the required contact times?  The research I was
doing related to inline tap water filters, and one major concern was the 
contact time of simple inline filters.    Sounds like your setup ensures much 
longer contact time, so it is likely to be able to better deal with the
chloramines.
