Nymphaea reproduces by seeds and runners. Also, you may be able to split the
tuber if there are more than one growth point.
To limit the size, pot the plant in plain gravel without additives. Clay and
substrate fertiliser will result in larger leaves as well as floating
leaves. You can also cut the larger leaves and force the plant to grow
shorter, more stunted ones. This could lead to the death of the plant if
you're too radical in your pruning.
