Well. . .

When it was mentioned, I was thinking "Why not?"  Hair is a well-recommended  nitrogen-containing substance for making compost.  In a cool pile (as opposed to compost piles that really heat up
and complete the process fast) it decays rather slowly, so I don't think it is going to put out too much nitrogen too fast in the substrate.  The question is whether it would be fast enough to
accomplish anything.
