Ok. Uncle. I give up.

Put an incident light meter in a ZipLoc bag, seal it, and put that inside 
another one. Put on bottom of tank and take a reading. You would have to have 
hand in water to push and hold the button.

I admire you folks and your fetish for high precision and precise 
measurements. But, after all, it is only a tank with water and plants in it 
ya know?

And I think while one scrimps and concocts their own secret formula 
substrate, and bemoan the high cost of Flourite, without a bat of the eye, 
blithely discuss $1,000.00 plus densitometers. I love it. keep it up folks.
