NFC: DP frozen fish as food

Does anyone use or have thoughts on using frozen fish as fish food?  

Should it be cooked?  

Any preferable types or ones to avoid?  Which fish are likely to eat it?

I have observed there is some pretty inexpensive frozen fish out there as well
as extra stuff I freeze.  I fixed some cooked some frozen bowfin and threw
some extra in to the aquariums.  The sunfish ate some and the pleco (in
another tank) loves it.
