All,
Several NFC members have approached me of late about school aquarium
projects....These are great projects NFC supported activities as long as
they follow some basic good science techniqiues. For example set up a
single species tank and try to aquarium rear and breed XYZ fish. Document
your results and we will put it on the website and possibly in the Flier
Or set up a a community native species tank and write up the
intereatctions you observe......Use proper documentation and let the
students collect, discuss and choose the species they want to keep and
you have a GREAT project on you hands...
All NFC projects such as school native fish Aquarium projects will get
some kind of support be it equipment, expertise, fish or some other need
or all of the above :)....So consider turning your local school tank to a
NFC project it is a great way to teach practical conservation techniques
to your class/youth group/child
