Getting back to the stream and land my uncle and cousin have reclaimed.
Several trash dumps had to be cleaned as well as all the trash cleaned out of
the stream. My cousin said he still gets a piece of plastic or two after a
hard rain, but when I was there we saw no trash at all. If you had seen this
land before you could understand the immensity of this effort. Several acres
of what is called multifloral roses had to be removed (introduced by the state
for fences, now gone crazy and covering everything in sight) just to get to
the trash dumps. The stream is feed by several cold mountain springs. They
are thinking about reintroducing brook trout to the stream. More later.
