20 Megs is what you have, you only use conventional memory for DOS 
applications.  Swap file size shouldn't matter unless you're getting 
a lot of disk thrashing (slows things down), which is also an 
indicator of insufficient memory.  20 Megs is plenty for a 3.11 
machine.

Reinstalling Communicator may help (download the latest version), or 
maybe the 16 bit Java virtual machine just sucks.
