Nope. Many years ago, *Jordanella floridae* was given the name American-Flag
Fish because of the red stripes and blue starfield on the shoulder. Recently
some folks have unwisely tried to invent a new name, and all it does is
cause confusion.

Florida Flagfish is a misnomer for American-Flag Fish. It has nothing to do
with, and is not similar to the Flagfin Shiner.
