I agree that Latin names are important and sometimes there may be no common 
name but along with the Latin name it wouldn't hurt to at least mention the 
common names of some related fish. Their have been times when Latin names 
were used to describe a fish or other animal and I didn't have a clue as what 
it was. A mention of a related fish with a common name or a comparison to a 
more well known fish might clear up the occasional confusion.
