re:canister filter

I have both a fluval 403 and an eheim 2228. My recommendation would be the
professional eheim models. I can only say good things about them. They are
sooo easy the service. On my fluval, the hoses have occasionally popped
off and left a huge mess on my carpet. Plus I find that I am less likely to
clean the filter since it is so messy to take apart. I know the prof eheims
are much more expensive, but in the long run they are well worth the cost.
I have had snails in my fluval without any problems.
