I called the publisher a month ago and was told to expect the English
translation in '98, perhaps even as late as mid-year.  In the meantime,
I bought the German translation figuring I would rely on my wife for
help.  (She majored in German literature and lived in Munich for 18
years.)  Well, it turns out German botany terms are strange critters
that are not taught it language classes! ;-)  It's taking us an hour per
entry!  I guess wildly, while she looks up the terms. :-)  Regards,
