Use waterlogged sticks from a river if you like to live dangerously,
or let some dry sticks soak they they are waterlogged. Or glue them
with silicone to a couple of large flat rocks.

You should disinfect any wild wood - soak in copper sulphate and a hydrochloric
acid rinse will kill anything.

Alum and salt would probably do the trick too.
