IMHO, a Rule of Thumb is, by it's nature, not to be analyzed or overly
fussed with. If you're going to get this specific, it becomes a Law of
Thumb.

Rule of Thumb: 2-3 wpg

Law of Thumb: 2-3 wpg of FL light from bulbs that don't suck based on
actual tank volume, not what the manufacturer wishes it was.

I could delve into Theories of Thumb, Hypothesis of Thumb, Corollaries of
Thumb and other diversions, but I don't think I'm speling those correctly
so I better quit while I'm behind.
