Re: Light Color
One of my lighting fixtures came with a 50/50 bulb as well and although I
liked the color it gave off it caused a lot of algae to form on the plants
that were directly underneath it. It may have been a reaction to the
increase of lighting but I ended up changing it with a 65000K bulb (much
brighter too!).

My DH surprised me with a compact florescent for my hood for Valentines day
(that is true love!). But....the bulb is 10000K half actinic. I also have
2 regular daylight florescents on the tank. Should I swap out the half
actinic for a full daylight bulb on the compact?
