Carpet plant?

Glosso is easy to grow and makes a nice carpet, but it isn't dark green.
Marsilea, is darker, but the leaves are not as small and may stand out too
much visually in a ten gallon tank. Maybe you should consider micro-sword.
It is darker green than glosso and will stay quite short since your light
source is so close in a ten gallon. You can even manicure it with a pair of
scissors if you want to get fancy.
