I second the comment about distracting the fish with other nibbles. Since I started my program of keeping zucchini or lettuce almost continuously in the goldfish tank, they're really slowed down with chowing on the live plants. If that works for insatiable goldfish, it might help you keep your gouramis too. Diane Brown
