Re: Bubbles on plants after a water change

Penny asked:
"What is it that causes the plants to release little air bubbles after a
water change?"

The bubbles you see are not actually being released BY the plants. The tap
water you put into your tank during a water change may be supersaturated
with dissolved gas, which comes out of solution forming a coating of fine
bubbles on all interior surfaces of your aquarium. These bubbles eventually
dissapate and the effect is seen more during the winter time than in summer.
