NFC: goldfish collecting
We were pretty succesfull collecting goldfish this weekend. we caught 20
large goldfish and a couple of shiners and a couple of dace. the seine
was great for catching to other fish in the lake where dipnets were
moderatley succesfull in catching goldfish. I think castnets might work
better than dip nest becasue it is hard to get close to them. but the lay
out of the lake allowed for us to corrner them and then chase them in to
the awaiting dip nets. This might also work with the siene but my borther
was being uncoperative. anyway it was al lot of fun and we are planing
to go back out there in two weeks.
