It is probably more like they wouldn't not can't. I assume you changed the
hosting options from a regular account to a domain account so they deleted
out the directory http://nativefish.interspeed.net If you were willing to
pay them to keep the old account active, you could create an file that
advises people of the new address.

Fish Link Central was originally at http://www.mindspring.com/~mbarnett/ I
still have files there that redirect people to
http://www.fishlinkcentral.com/   Every month I get about 1000+ hits that
come from the old site URL.

You might want to go to www.hotbot.com, you can enter a link URL and it will
find pages with that URL in it.
