I buy Doromin from That Pet Place,
http://www.thatpetplace.com/Catalogs/catalogs.html for about $10 per pound.

I would think you could find something cheaper than live feeders like beef
heart or some kind of meat or fish scrap.

Then the other question is what is the cost of better food versus the cost
of longer production time.
