I spoke with Carter Gilbert today 2/21/97. Carter is behind schedule but is
more than half through with the book, which he says is a real contribution.
He'll get back on it as soon as he gets out from under some additional work
that must take priority.*** I plan on attending the American Society of
Ichthyologists and Herpetologists annual meeting in Seattle at the end of
June, and hope to see lots of friends there.  - Bob Goldstein
