Not exactly true, earthworms are not as nutritious as many of the grubs
found in fallen acorns and under leaves in wooded areas.

Meal worms can easily kill all your amphibians on two levels, first they
have way too high a chiten (Sp.?) level in their shells and they have been
known to literaly eat their way out of a creature that ate them! If you do
use meal worms KEEP THEM OUT OF THE TANK untill they molt then feed the
soft white meal worms to your amphibians.
