Hi,

Daphnia are sensitive to water quality changes.  I'd suggest that you pour 
the package gently into a small container, then add an equal amount of water 
from the culture medium in which they will be raised,  Add more water several 
times over a few hours, then discard all of that water and put the daphnia 
into their new home.

Brine shrimp nets make good tools to move and catch daphnia.
