Thomas Barr said he has used PCs for over 5 years when he has lit his
tanks for 12 hr.s per day and over 2.5 years when he has lit them 24/7.
 

I would have thought that 24-7 would be an experiment to generate algae
-- but 5 years seems like too long a time for that.  Assuming it's not
too  personal to ask, what do you do with a tank that is lit all the
time year after year?
