Arthur, 
This is a gorgeouos plant that grows beautifully red under fluorescent
lights and is very easy, but slow growing -- even when well fertilized.  It
does well with CO2 or without it.  Water quality doesn't seem to be a factor
  I love it for ared highlight among the varying shades of green.  Got my
first strand from Mr. Windlov at Tropica many years ago and they called it
(at that time) "peruensis".  It's a "winner"!
