Another thing: Cloudy water and "the nitrogen cycle" are not related. You
can have a fully cycled tank with water so cloudy that the tank is opaque,
and you can have a perfectly clear, uncycled tank.
"Cycling" refers to establishing bacteria colonies that "neutralize" the
products of decay, mainly ammonia from fish, whereas the bacteria that cause
cloudy water generally utilize other nutrients.
