In part my post was in response to what you wrote. I haven't seen any of the
wood up close these websites actually sell.
I got the driftwood from an exporter of Indian aquarium goods 3 years ago. I
now see the same drift wood for sale on some websites named as India
wood/Indian wood .. I don't remember the exact name.
My post was as much a caution to the seller as to the buyer of the original
state of this wood before it was treated / exported. I sure hope it was
treated !!!
The post was Just a caution.
BTW this piece of wood I am talking off is from hard wood trees felled and
left to cure(?) in brackish waters off the banks of the rivers near the
Coast of the State of West Bengal in India, where by the marine organisms
attack the wood and make all those wonderful holes in them.
