Hi:

I´m thinking on sending some Water to a local University fo Analysis

My idea is to have the analysis done in three samples:

1.- Plain Tap Water
2.- Water right after normal weekly waterchange
3.- Water right before normal weekly waterchange

The guys from the University asked me what I want to know from the water.

To give them an aswer, I would like you kind opinion on what the water
should be tested for.

I´m not a chemist so I dont know if asking them to test  the water for some
particular parameter is possible or even if it make sense.


My current list is

Alkalinity
General Hardnes
Calcium
Magnesium
Manganesum
Sodium
Phosphates
Nitates
Nitrites
Amonia
Potasium
Iron

Any input on how to ask, what to ask and how to interpret results will be
welcome
