There are two differences: the Onyx gravel is slightly larger than
Flourite and it has a very slight buffering effect. In totally
unbuffered water whose pH has been brought down to around 6.8 with
some Acid Buffer the pH will slowly rise to around 7.2 over the
course of a few weeks. However, in a moderately buffered system this
effect is neglible.
