ich in planted tanks
The metabolism of the ich parasite speeds up with increased heat so the
higher the heat the faster the life cycle. Ich is generally most susceptible
to treatment in the free swimming stage. An inexpensive and effective
treatment is to move the fish into a hospital tank, treat with Aquarisol at a
rate of 12 drops per 10 gallons and maintain the highest temperature at which
the fish are comfortable. Before you put the fish back into the planted
tank, treat the tank with Immune Plus and Aqua Flourish by Tropical Science.
These products will rebuild the fishes immune system and prevent further
outbreaks.
