C/F Recommendations

I too am looking into this very closely at the moment. Not really all that
keen on a single 175 watt MH bulb for my 55 Gall tank. I was wondering if I
could `get away` with 2 X 55 Watt Compact Flourescents ?

Just awaiting for an e-mail from Kim Bryant at AH Supply company with her
recommendations. The prices of the bulbs & kits seem very reasonable (even
importing them from the UK).

Anyone got any experience with using eg. 2 X 55`s on a 55 gal OR 4 X 55`s on
a 120 gal ?? Can anyone on the list give some good reports about these units
? How would the light out put of 2 X 55`s or 3 X 55`s C/F`s compare with say
a single 175 Watt MH.
