It's called the American Civil Liberties Union. While they have a reputation
for taking on only liberal causes, they also defended Oliver North, abastion
of radical right-wing politics, becuase they felt he was on trial not for
what he did, but for what the government did to him vis-vis violation of his
constitutional civil rights.
