You should've bought them. I have carried African clawed frogs on a
plane when I was a kid and we moved.
I put the frogs in a container about 1 or 1.5 gallons in size
with a lid on it. Filled it about halfway with water.
I had a small suitcase I put the container in and just
carried it on. Leave the lid off in your hotel room and take it off
when you arive. There will be enough O2 for them to survive the flight.
Just be prepared on your next trip. Of course, it would be risky to try
this in the winter, as the fish might get chilled.
