Claus Christensen (biologist, at Tropica) writes in a small publication on algae
and how to fight them, that it has been proved that some plants do excrete chemicals
that are toxic to SOME algae (allelopati). He mentions Ceratophyllum, Stratoides and Egeria having this ability.
