Daniel,this depends on the size of the snail,if it will fit beneath the
bottom style of the gate and the ground it probably work,but they might
crawl away,other than that you could try wedging it between the post and
the hinges,but they might crawl away.You could try the wedging
method,with a nail before and aft of the snail,this way the snail won't
crawl,thus the gate will stay open.....sorry could'nt resist :)
