RE:Algae in Riccia

Riccia is notorious for gettin algae were other plants aren't infected,
namely Blue greens and hair .This is due to the Riccia being a floating
plant. It is a fast grower so just remove infected parts and do a
maintenace cleaning or check general tank health. If the algae comes
back ,remove the plant from the higher light areas to one of lower
light.Too much light/not enough CO2 is often the problem. It should
easily out compete the algae if conditions are good .Cooler temperatures
might help ? Try darkness also to rid the algae in a separate bowl or
container etc.
Good luck,
