Subject: European Wiring Colors

I have acquired a Giesemann metal halide lighting fixture.  The power cord
does not have a plug.  The three wires in the power cord are colored blue,
brown and green/yellow.  Does anyone know which of these wires might be the
positive, negative, and ground?

U mean the code is different in the US?
Since European codes are pretty much the same over here in Singapore,i
would think that the codes are the following :

BLUE - Neutral
BROWN - Live
GREEN/YELLOW - Earth
