Patrick, I am using a solar distilling unit. It has only a one time capital
expense and no running cost.
I get more than 5 litres of water per square meter of sun exposed panel area
everyday.
The water output depends on ambient temprature and amount of direct sunlight
time.
Check out the possibilities.

No pollution. No running costs. You can drink it too..
