Initial fertilizer dosage

I'm trying to figure out initial doses of fertilizer, and ..
My math surprized me alot.. Do I really need this much ??

Here it is:

      The PMDD part

      1 Tsp KNO3 = 6g
      6g = 2400 mg K and 3600 mg NO3
