Lilaeopsis

I am growing Lilaeopsis in soft water (R/O,
reconstituted with Kent's R/O Right) with 4
watts/gallon fluor. light. The plant originally arrived (a
few months ago) in pots, with emersed leaves).
I think this is key: these original leaves will fall off
eventually, and be replaced by new, underwater
leaves. This took quite a long time in my tank, but it
was worth it. The plant spread and makes a very nice
1.5" carpet now. Actually, it's still not totally filled in. I
believe some patience is required with its growth. By
the way, the emersed leaves turned dark before they
died, as the original poster described.
