propane regulators for CO2

When I was trying to assemble an inexpensive CO2 system, I was told
that the parts inside of CO2 regulators are special in that they are
resistant to carbonic gas and acid. I was told that any regulator other
than a CO2 reg. would quickly degrade and fail.
