Chloramine

I heard that adding chlorine remover to water that has Chloramine will
immediately release ammonia.  Is that true?  I believe Jungle has a product
called A.C.E. which breaks chloramine bonds and neutralizes remaining
chlorine and ammonia.  I think it also removes metals which is why I've
been afraid to use it.  Anyone use this product with success or have any
additional information?
