Wim Hanssens has an black brush algae problem and does not believe
that a solution exists.

I had a similar problem and my SAEs were not handling it. Eventually,
the older SAEs got it under control. Plants will rob it of nutrients.
I have found that it needs a fair amount of light. In one tank floating
riccia starved and outcompeted BBA which had covered some fontanalis.
It is almost all gone. Try the SAEs.
